ARIA Award winners Collard Greens and Gravy have been forerunners of the Australian blues and roots scene since the mid 90’s. The band traveled to Memphis Tennessee for the International Blues Challenge and took second place, and have won countless local and Australian awards. In November 2023 Ian Collard was inducted into the prestigious Blues Music Victoria Hall of Fame.

The line up features Ian Collard on vocals and harmonica, Benny Peters on guitar, Dale Lindrea on bass and Liam O’Leary on drums.READ MORE

The blues has always had powerful women at its heart — storytellers, soul shakers, truth tellers and groove makers. On Saturday 18 July we’re bringing eight of them together for a very special night at Martha Salt Music.

Hosted by Australia’s Women In Blues Ambassador Andrea Marr, this showcase celebrates the talent, passion and individuality of women performing across Victoria’s blues scene.

Joining Andrea on stage will be a stellar line-up featuring Bronnie Gordon, Christine Manetta, Marni Rose, Miss Lizzy, Anthea ‘Jewels’, Linda Stainton, Sharryn Pottenger, with the wonderful Michelle Johns providing her trademark keyboard magic throughout the evening.READ MORE

The band is Mike Rudd’s Indelibles, – the show is a concert, a dance party, it’s iconic Australian music from the last half century.

Featuring Australian prog-rock legend Mike Rudd (Spectrum, Indelible Murtcepts and Ariel) playing a swampy roots mix of blues, rock and hits dating back from 1969 onwards!

Described as a musical visionary the bands Rudd founded in the 1970’s, Spectrum/The Indelible Murtceps and Ariel took Australian rock music to another level.

Spectrum released four LPs and several singles, including their national No. 1 hit single “I’ll Be Gone”, which has remained one of the best-known songs of the last 50 years, and also the first Australian rock double album, “Milesago”.READ MORE

Aussie blues-roots artist Geoff Achison has won fans around the world with his dynamic guitar style and high-quality songwriting. A country boy from Victoria, Geoff moved to the ‘big smoke’ in search of the blues, beginning a journey which would ultimately lead to extensive touring playing the juke-joints of the American south and across the UK & Europe. He won the ‘Albert King Award’ in Memphis and upon returning home was honoured to be inducted to the Blues Music Victoria Hall Of Fame.
