Dance and party to the real thing on a hot January Peninsula night!
VIC POLYIK is an Australian harmonica blues defender, who moved to Canada and established himself as a significant blues musician active there in the early 1990s and 2000s. Vic devotedly started to play the harmonica when he was sixteen, and has since developed a dynamic harmonica style with a huge tone and a strong sense of swing inspired by the likes of Little Walter and William Clarke.
Fifteen years in Canada saw Vic play and record with some of blues finest, including Shuggie Otis, Jack Lavin (Powder Blues), Guitar Shorty, Amos Garrett and Jeff Simmons of Frank Zappa’s Mothers. Since returning to Australia, Vic has worked with Australian music icon Don Walker (songwriter for Cold Chisel), Louis King and many prominent Australian blues performers. Vic’s return to Vancouver in 2019 produced various freshly recorded tracks featured on his converted album releases.
