Get ready for a hip-shakin’ night of rhythm and blues when Benny & The Flybyniters hit the stage on 17 October.
Led by guitarist and vocalist Benny Peters, the Flybyniters have been delivering their infectious blend of 1950s jump blues, swinging R&B and rockin’ roots music since 1999. From Melbourne bars and pubs to major festivals across Australia, the USA and Europe, they have earned a reputation as one of Australia’s premier authentic rhythm and blues bands.
The band has released four acclaimed albums, along with an LP and a 10-inch record, including Jet Propelled Daddy, Be Good or Be Gone, Hey Now! and their latest release, Watch Yourself, on Rhythm Bomb Records. They have also backed legendary international artists including Lazy Lester, Big Jay McNeely and Owen Gray.
This is something special with Benny Peters (vocals and guitar), James Black (BLACK SORROWS, ROCKWIZ – piano), and the full Flybynighters contingent on bass, drums and saxophone.
