Your hosts
Your hosts are Tracy and ‘Salty’ Dennis Trevarthen, who is well connected and respected in the Australian music scene, and internationally. Salty runs the world renowned blues and roots broadcast/podcast ‘Salty Dog Blues and Roots”. He is a co-founder and Vice-President of Blues Music Victoria, and was convenor of the Elwood Blues Club, a regular Sunday night gig now in Abbotsford (previously The Prince Hotel in Fitzroy St St Kilda). Salty now shares his time between Melbourne and the Peninsula.
Salty knows his stuff! Over 35,000 people listen to his podcast each month across the globe, and he has twice been invited to judge the European Blues Challenge with artists from over 20 countries (in Copenhagen and Amsterdam) – sharing duties with Mike Vernon (famed producer of Fleetwood Mac and John Mayall). He has interviewed over 200 artists for his shows, including top artists like Gregg Allman, Russell Morris, Joe Bonamassa , Renee Geyer, Joe Camilleri (Black Sorrows), Fiona Boyes, Ash Grunwald and Josh Teskey among others.
Salty is also a singer / blues harmonica player with his own band “Salty Dawg Blow Out” and the multi award winning “Amnesia Blues Band”.
